The Oberon Community Technology Centre will run workshops on Cyber Safety during 2009 on an ‘as needs’ basis. If you would like to participate in a course please call the CTC and register your interest.

CTC@Oberon completed a series of workshop on Cyber Safety throughout 2007.

• The Cyber Safety workshops have been “Funded under the National Community Crime Prevention Programme, an Australian Government Initiative”.
• We ran a workshop during Senior’s Week, as well has giving every senior that attended a function at the Oberon RSL a copy of our latest newsletter that has information about cyber safety. 
• There was a workshop for students that will run during Education week (May 15th or 16th) where a police liaison officer running workshops at the high schools and possibly later in the year for primary school students.

We give any of these workshop participants a copy of a booklet on PC Security for the Home User compiled by one of our volunteers – Ron Lardner.
