Congratulations to the network of centre
management committees and managers who have had a tremendous year of
achievements. With determination and inspiration our centres embraced 2006!

  • 80 CTCs, Telecentres and Rural Transaction
      Centres have joined the Association;
  • 40 CTCs have Quality Supplier status;
  • 12 CTCs are fully volunteer run centres
  • 18 centres produce weekly or monthly
      newsletters in their communities
  • 7 centres offer Centrelink agencies
  • 19 centres are stand alone centres
  • On average, each centre receives around 50
      patrons per week servicing over 189,000 patrons across NSW per year;
  • 75 people are employed by CTCs both full
      time and part time in rural and regional areas.
  • There are over 1520 volunteers within the
      network. Of this, 415 are representatives on management committees. If an
      average hourly rate of $18 was charged for a day of work in a CTC, CTCs save
      in excess of $9.5 million in wages a year due to our volunteers
  • It is estimated 2700 first time computer
      users were trained in a CTC in the last financial year with a total average of
      6160 people being trained in computers throughout our centres.
  • 154 volunteers in 24 centres gained
      employment from volunteering at a CTC
